Issues of sustainability are complex and frequently require inter-disciplinary approaches in research and practice. For this reason the oikos Bachelor thesis award wants to encourage and support Bachelor theses at German speaking Universities in the field of sustainable economics or management in order to contribute to the academic field, foster insights for practitioners, and inspire students for this encouraging field of research and practice.

 

Submissions (in German or English) are accepted through the entire year from 1st October 2009 till 1 October 2010. The Award winner will be announced in December 2010.

Your BA Thesis Must

–    Address a relevant issue to sustainable economics or management, interpreted in a broad sense

(e.g. corporate social responsibility, development and the role of business, international governance and sustainability, social or eco entrepreneurship, social investing and responsible finance, venture philanthropy, climate change, microfinance, stakeholder engagement,...)
OR
–    Transfer economic theory, management theory or management practice to further our understanding of the environmental or social challenges of our time
